This collection contains the genealogical papers of Nell Elkins Pearce, focusing on the Crawford, Pearce, and related families, assembled in Pearce's efforts to join the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Biographical/Historical Note
Nell Elkins was born on September 1, 1888, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, to James S. and Rebecca Alma Meadows Elkins. Nell married John William Crawford in December 1906. After her husband's death, Nell married McCallister Pearce in July 1921. Nell Pearce died in 1979.
