This collection contains genealogical research photocopies, family research books, and maps collected by Shirley Ann Barham related to the Henry, Kugle, Almond, Houston, and Chaffin families.

Biographical/Historical Note

Shirley Ann Barham and her husband, Daniel Barham Jr., are avid genealogists. They moved from the Baltimore and Washington D.C., area to Conway, Arkansas, with their son, Daniel Barham III, in 2005. Shirley Barham has been director of her Quapaw district and involved in the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Huguenot Society of Manakan Towne, Virginia, and the National Society of Colonial Dames. She also founded a local creative writing group in Conway, Arkansas, called the Conway Creative Writers. This collection contains much of her research on her own lineage including the Henry, Almand, Houston, and Chaffin families.
