The book signing for the publication Ten Sisters by sisters and cowriters: Rose Mary Jeffery Stovall, Jewell Wofford, Juanita Owens, Demetrice Jeffery Guydon, Mary Ann Jeffery Wofford, Betty Louise Jeffery Watkins, Lavarange Davis, Lillie Mae Jeffery, Deborah Jeffery Brown, and Baby Girl was held at the Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society Conference, September 24, 2011. Founded in 1977, the Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society (AAHGS) is an organization largely focused on the genealogical and historical study of all ethnic and minority groups in an effort to promote scholarly research, provide resource, teach research techniques, as well as document and preserve history of under-documented groups.
