This collection contains documents pertaining to a 1985 meeting between Turner Broadcasting executives and the Arkansas Office of Motion Picture Development to discuss the production of a one-hour documentary on Arkansas.
Biographical/Historical Note
In 1983, the Atlanta-based Turner Broadcasting System began production on what would be a 55-part series of one-hour documentaries about each of the United States of America. This collection contains correspondence and materials shared between the Arkansas Industrial Development Commission and WTBS Productions regarding an upcoming 1985 meeting to discuss the scope of the documentary.
