This collection consists of correspondence, applications for charters, dues transmittal forms, petitions for charters, and lists of veterans.

Biographical/Historical Note

The Arkansas Veterans of World War I, Incorporated, was formed about 1954 as a service organization to assist fellow veterans. Their motto was "Be a Buddy to a Buddy." It was a department of the National Veterans of World War I of the U.S.A., Incorporated, organized in 1949. Local chapters were called "barracks." The Arkansas Department was disbanded about 1966.
