This collection includes record books, registers, directors' record books, election poll books, receipt books, correspondence, and legal papers pertaining to two school districts in Arkansas County, Arkansas.
Biographical/Historical Note
Arkansas County School District Number 49 was located in the Prairie View and Shannon area around Almyra, in central Arkansas County. School District Number 50 was created in 1890 and included Houghton School, which was later renamed Turley School. It was also located in central Arkansas County.
